PSYFARI JAMBOREE FAQ

  • PSYFARI Jamboree will be held at Caloola Farm, located in the stunning Tharwa region in the A.C.T. Set on over 400 acres backing onto the Namadgi national park, Caloola Farm has a rich history of community development, projects and events. The roads leading to the site are in good condition, both 2WD and 4WD vehicles should have no difficulty.

  • Being set on a remote property, the best way for most people to get there is to drive or come with a friend. There are other options though, with a bus running from Sydney and lifts from Canberra.

For those driving, please help minimize our footprint by carpooling and sharing rides, and PLEASE DRIVE SAFELY! These are country roads with plenty of wildlife and hazards.

Please note that all vehicles will require a $20 car pass which contributes to the repair and maintenance of the roads.

  • Yes! Psyfari is an all ages event, with activities for youngsters too :) However keep in mind, minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, and children are to be under adult supervision at all times. Children aged 12 & under enter for FREE!

  • Like every other festival, Psyfari does have a maximum capacity. Which we have significantly reduced from previous years. Buying a presale ticket is your safest option.

  • Camping equipment: tents, tarps, rugs, torches, sleeping bags, pillows, hammocks, and whatever else you need to get comfy.

Clothes for both warm and cold weather, it may get chilly during the night.

    Costumes!
Food and water (although there will be food stalls, and free drinking water available, it’s always a good idea to stock up and be prepared).

Drinks. After all Psyfari Festival is BYO (no glass!)

    More costumes!

Hot tip: cordial makes for a great alternative to bringing lots of mixers, and saves on plastic bottles. We’ll have plenty of free water on site for you to fill up with.

DO NOT BRING: pets, illicit substances, glass bottles, weapons, fireworks, or generators.

  • PSYFARI Jamboree will feature two music stages, a workshop space, kidspace, art gallery, and performance space. The stages this year are called FOXTROT and BOOMBADONK!

Foxtrot will feature a mixture of live bands and electronica, while Boombadonk will focus on the electronic side of things.

  • Gates open on the Friday at 8am. If you’re travelling from afar, we recommend spending the Thursday night in Canberra, from where it’s an easy drive to the site the next day.

  • Gates close on the Monday at 1pm. Plenty of time to wind down, pack up your campsite, and most importantly rest up before your drive home.

  • No. We have gone to great lengths to provide you with the biggest, loudest and clearest walls of sound around. Across the stages there will be more music styles than you can poke a chicken at, and we’re sure there will be something to suit just about every taste. We can assure you these sound systems will be more than loud enough, and there will be music playing continuously throughout the weekend.

  • Yes! Psyfari Festival is BYO! Attendees aged 18+ can bring their own alcohol. All that we ask, is you leave glass bottles at home. Broken glass isn’t fun for anyone, so please bring your alcohol in plastic bottles/cans etc.

  • No. Throughout most of the year this is a working farm. The area is baited for foxes and wild dogs, and there will be livestock nearby. No dogs (or other pets). Please.

  • For reasons including safety and noise, generators are not permitted. Please do not bring them.

  • It’s possible, but don’t count on it. Best bring enough cash to cover any food, clothing, art, or merch that you may buy on the weekend.

    • Attendees are to stay within the property boundary at all times
    • No pets
    • No generators
    • No glass
    • No renegade sound systems
    • No illicit drugs
    • No motorbikes/quadbikes etc. to be ridden during the event
    • No weapons or fireworks
    • No antisocial behaviour
    • Wristband to be worn at all times.
    • Please note the festival will have film and photo crews present. By attending, you agree to possibly being filmed or your photo taken for future website and promotional use.

Please see here for the full terms and conditions of entry

  • Yes. Campervans are welcome, however please note you may be directed to a separate camping area depending on the size of your vehicle and how full general camping is.

  • For most mobile phones the answer is no. There is VERY limited signal, with the Telstra network, however it is best not to be relied on.

  • Not likely. As there is no phone signal, we’re afraid you won’t be able to catch any Pokemon. If you really need to get your fix then we recommend dressing up like your favourite Pokemon and then your friends can chase you around.

  • Yes. With your wristband you will be able to exit and re-enter the festival. Please note though, that once a campground has reached capacity and closed off, cars will not be able to re-enter if they leave. If planning on leaving and returning by car, we recommend you park in the day parking area closer to the festival entrance.

  • Being held in Australian summer time, there will be no fires permitted at PSYFARI Jamboree.
